Note:  The comments below were written in 2011.  I had found another Gerri Rogers with the same birthyear who passed away in Oklahoma. But it was not our Gerri.  When I found out she was still alive, I removed her name from the "In Memory" page.  But she really did pass on in 2014.  The comments below remained in a backup file.  Patty

Gerri was in my circle of friends.  I remember her as fun-loving and very sweet. I was really looking forward to reconnecting with her.  It looks like I will have to wait for my big graduation day to see her again.

I'm almost afraid to look for classmates for fear we will have lost another.  I, too, remember Gerri as especially sweet and calm.  I'm sorry for you loss, as well, Patty.  I recall you were close friends.  Liz

I think Gerri and i were in 2nd grade at Betz when we first became friends. If i remember right, our moms were Class Moms, helping out for holiday parties and such. Our moms also were involved with Camp Fire Girls, in which my sister Jamey was active along with Gerri. Because of this, we spent more time hanging out than had we just been classmates. I remember going to Gerri's house near Fish Lake and playing in her yard while our moms worked on whatever project they had going. We stayed friends all through school. I think it was our 20th reunion that i last spoke to Gerri. She wanted me to look her up if i was ever in Oklahoma while bowling. She is in my prayers and i know we will see each other again at some point.
