“Have a good weekend ….. I’ll call you on Monday.”
Monday arrived. By then, he was gone.
These were the last words my Dad said to me.
I lost my Dad far too soon. I loved him immensely and I am devastated.

Many people in my life have never seen a picture of my Dad and I together.
There were reasons for that - irrational reasons - but none of it matters now.
So, today is the day.
Here’s me with my Dad in one of the many happy moments together that I will never forget.

I already desperately miss the daily talks.
What started out as “just checking in” would sometimes turn into over an hour of conversation.
In all these conversations, I would find we were so much alike that it was almost unreal.

From our world views, to the books, music, movies and tv shows we enjoyed, to the way we made tea, to spiritual energy, to the food we ate, and everything in between ….. we were always on the same page.

I will cherish everything he taught me, stories of his days growing up in Cheney, stories of family I would never get to meet, hearing about his time in the Navy, lessons learned and lots of advice.
