On April 21st Lynn Moore was sent home to heaven. Lynn had been diagnosed with a brain tumor in November 2013 and had surgery two weeks later. The surgery left Lynn with more struggles than expected for recovery as she lost the ability to walk without assistance. She stayed positive and made her goal of traveling to her son's wedding in June 2014 where she danced with him from her power chair. Lynn went into remission, but a few months ago her cancer came back. She was still fighting strong and underwent Cyber knife to treat the tumor. On April 19th she was admitted to the emergency room with a pulmonary embolism in her right lung and diverticulitis with perforation (blood clot in the lung and a hole in her colon). The usual treatment was not available to her due to the tumor. At 5:34 pm on the 21st, less than 2 days after her admittance to the hospital, she entered heaven. Lynn and husband Keith experienced love at first sight as they both lived in their testimonies of their love for God. They just celebrated 5 years of marriage shortly before her passing. Keith has been a quadriplegic since 1982, but lets nothing stop him. Lynn was his caregiver until her own illness prevented her from continuing. Lynn was a fighter, both with her own illness and in being by her son Josh's side, researching treatments and praying for him to pull through while he battled a life threatening disease and underwent a double lung transplant which almost took his life 7 years ago when he was just 29. She never gave up hope even when he suffered 5 strokes and a coma after the surgery, and had to learn how to swallow, talk, see and walk again. She never lost hope, she trusted God and handed him over in her faith. You can view Lynn's story of "Josh's Miracle" at www.monarchswingsofhope.org.

One of my greatest pleasures in being part of the 40 year class reunion was connecting with Lynn.  She was a delight and an inspiration during her time here.  I cried when I first saw the video she posted about her son.  You made a difference Lynn!  I can picture her worshipping her Savior, Jesus Christ, and having the best class reunion she has ever had. I am looking forward to seeing you again someday.

Lynn was a woman of extreme strength and determination. With all of her struggles she has had her faith was her greatest strength and I admire her for that. I don't know of many people who could have gone through what she went through with such a positive attitude. Faith is such an important factor in facing whatever is thrown our way and Lynn turned to her Savior for strength and help in all she did. She is an example to me of courage, strength and love for family and the Savior. Rest in Peace Lynn until we meet again!!
