Richard E. Streeter Jr.
(age 63)
Passed away February 24, 2017, in Spokane, WA. Dick was born in Spokane on July 4, 1953 to Richard and Dorothy Streeter. He graduated from Eastern Washington University. Earned a Master's degree from Whitworth University, and completed a PhD in education. Dick taught fifth and sixth grade at Madison Elementary and later Grant Elementary schools. He served in the Air National Guard for 29 years, including playing French horn in the band. He also volunteered as a paramedic with the Cheney Fire Department – proudly delivering seven babies during his tenure.
Dick loved watching the Spokane Chiefs and was a season ticket holder for many years. He also enjoyed riding his Harley and even attended Sturgis several times. He and wife Patricia enjoyed traveling.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; son Timothy; step children Jeffrey (Sherry) Payton, Rebecca (Eric) Hawkins, Tanya (Seth) Priddis, and David (Marlana) Payton; sister Stacey (Dennis) Schneider; niece Tiana; and 14 grandchildren.
Dick will be laid to rest with military honors at Spokane-Cheney Memorial Gardens. A public memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017, 1:00 PM, at Spokane Faith Center, 3330 W Central, Spokane, WA.
